Mount Baker in Washington State is a resort which usually tops the snow depth charts. Regularly averaging over 19 metres of the white stuff so there is always plenty of powder to play in – until now.
A Pacific Weather system is keeping temperatures unseasonably high and as a result this snowsure resort has had a fairly poor season. However, if the usual conditions return – skiers and boarders can expect some serious dumps and the resort management will be keeping their fingers crossed!
